Meadows Alternative Medicine – Legal Practice Policy & Indemnity Agreement

Effective Date: Upon booking or attendance

Business Name: Meadows Alternative Medicine (“the Practice”)

Practitioner(s): Employees, contractors, and representatives of the Practice

1. Nature of Services

The Practice provides complementary and alternative wellness services, including but not limited to:

  • Naturopathic medicine

  • Disease and pain management support

  • Vibrational sound frequency therapy

  • Iridology and biofield assessment

  • Counselling and psychotherapy

  • Meditation and yoga retreats

  • Health and wellness astrology/numerology

  • Infrared light therapy

  • Use of ultrasonic devices, Schumann resonance devices, tuning forks, sound healing instruments, EMS/TENS machines, cold laser therapy devices, infrared light devices, bioresonance equipment, natural crystals, EEG technologies and other wellness tools

These services are non-medical, non-diagnostic, non-pharmaceutical, and not a substitute for medical treatment.

The Practice does not provide emergency care, medical diagnosis, or medical intervention.

2. Client Obligations

Clients agree to:

  1. Provide full, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding health conditions, medications, surgeries, implants, devices, sensitivities, or other relevant factors.

  2. Seek urgent or conventional medical care when required.

  3. Follow practitioner instructions for safety before, during, and after sessions.

  4. Immediately disclose any discomfort, adverse sensation, or concerning symptom during treatment.

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in increased risk or injury for which the Practice bears no liability.

3. Practitioner Protection

  • Practitioners reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if a session is deemed unsafe, contraindicated, inappropriate, or outside the practitioner’s scope or comfort.

  • The Practice may terminate a session immediately in cases of abuse, boundary violations, intoxication, or risk to staff or clients.

  • Clients acknowledge that results vary, and no outcomes or therapeutic results are guaranteed or implied.

4. Contraindications & Risks

Certain therapies may not be suitable for individuals with conditions including but not limited to:

  • Pacemakers, electronic implants, or medical devices

  • Metal implants, plates, rods, or hardware

  • Pregnancy

  • Photosensitivity or heat intolerance

  • Seizure disorders or neurological conditions

  • Recent surgery, wounds, or acute infection

  • Severe medical or unmanaged psychological conditions

Clients accept responsibility for informing the practitioner and understand that failing to do so may increase risk.

5. Use of Therapeutic Devices

By engaging in treatment, clients consent to the use of devices including (but not limited to):

  • Infrared light therapy machines

  • Cold laser therapy devices

  • EMS/TENS

  • Ultrasound therapy

  • Bioresonance and vibrational frequency devices

  • Sound healing tools

  • Crystals and natural minerals

  • EEG or energetic assessment devices

Clients confirm they understand:

  • These devices are used for holistic wellbeing, not medical treatment.

  • They may interact with implants or health conditions if disclosure is incomplete.

6. Indemnity & Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the client agrees to:

  1. Release, indemnify, and hold harmless Meadows Alternative Medicine and its practitioners from any and all liability, claims, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from:

    • Participation in any service, therapy, or retreat

    • Use of any therapeutic device

    • Failure to disclose relevant health information

    • Ignoring safety instructions

    • Pre-existing or undisclosed medical conditions

    • Interpretation or misinterpretation of wellness guidance

  1. Acknowledge that the Practice makes no claim to diagnose, treat, or cure disease.

  2. Accept full responsibility for their own physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing before, during, and after sessions.

  3. Waive the right to pursue legal claims except where prohibited by law.

This indemnity survives cessation of services.

7. Confidentiality

  • Records and information are kept confidential except where disclosure is required by law or court order.

8. Acceptance of Policy

By booking, attending, or participating in any service, program, or retreat, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy & Indemnity Agreement in full.
